the whole hotel was spotlessly clean, the atmosphere was great, all the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpfull and the food was excelent.

We came up to gretna green for my daughters wedding we did not have no where booked for a meal after the wedding. We were recommended Solway Lodge by the receptionist at our hotel.We had 23 adults and 4 children in our party and the staff at solway sorted us the most beautiful private room for our party, they even went as far has putting serviettes and flowers on the tables in our daughter colour scheme. Nothing was too much trouble, we even went back at the evening and they put tables together for us. These people were brilliant and we highly recommend Solway for a visit. we would definately go again. Thankyou to all the staff.
We stayed at the Solway Lodge on the 26 and 27 September 2012,as it was the venue we had chosen for our wedding reception. The staff could not do enough for us. Both the wedding dinner and the evening buffet was excellent, and the breakfasts were good too. All our rooms were comfy, and clean, and the hotel itself had a wonderful atmosphere. A special thanks to Ian for all his help and advice, and the wonderful "Harley" cake, and to all the other members of staff who worked so hard to make sure that we had everything we needed a big "thank you". It made our stay so memorable.

Visited the Solway Lodge by accident yesterday.I didn't stay at the hotel so can only comment on the short time i spent there in the restaurant but felt a review was necessary! I was travelling up to Edinburgh from Blackpool with my mother and we decided to look for something to eat, Soo glad i did! The meal was outstanding. I had the Roast duck... absolutely beautiful. Also made to feel very welcome by the staff. A very lovely girl who served us straight away. Served quality food without a long wait. The place had such a warm, friendly atmosphere. We even commented on how nice the toilets were! Although we didn't stay for long. I really hope to visit again in the future. Keep up the good work!
Arrived at the Solway Lodge 3 September 2012. Booked in and was shown to our rooms outside. The reception staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms very clean and accomodating. The hotel staff were fantastic. The breakfast was basic, but tasty and upon request of Beans, they was no problem in providing beans with the breakie. The food was delightful. The hospitality was spot on. Would definately stop there again.

We stayed at the for my 40th birthday but also to sort outdetails for our wedding in 2010. We could not be happier with our choice of hotel andaccommodtion, the staff are fantastic and friendly, the rooms exceptional and the food absolutely fantastic and which we know our guests will love. Cant wait for 2010 to come around! Special thanks as always to Iain - great guy!

As parents of the bride on December 28th Angela and son-in-law Ian Harridge now, we would just like to say how proud you made us feel and what a wonderful venue they had chosen for there wedding weekend. Im commenting to say thank you for our stay at your hotel. All the staff were friendly and were always asking if you wanted anything. The food was lovely and everybody enjoyed it. The room was always warm and the shower was always running hot water. It was spotless when we got in there and we really enjoyed our stay!

We went to a wedding (Ian and Angie) just after Christmas and the service provided by the Solway was excellent. The food was first class and their chef did them proud - highly recommended!
