What to do in the area

The South West is simply one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland and being home to over 100 golf courses remains one of the most popular regions of the home of golf. It is a refreshing mix of famous names and hidden gems, not to mention its fair share of Open qualifiers. Stay at the Solway Lodge and play a different round of golf each day.
It is well worth spending time to take in the atmosphere and visit the world famous Gretna Green where many couples have eloped to be married in the Blacksmiths shop or at the Anvil hall with a Scottish piper playing the bagpipes. There is so much to do here you will be spoilt for choice.
